Galaxy Tab S8 series is getting Android 13 update

The Galaxy Tab S8 series has become the first batch of Android tablets to get official Android 13 support, and the update begins this week.

As I spotted it SamMobileAndroid 13 with One UI 5.0 is now rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra in many countries across Europe. The only catch is that the update is only going to 5G versions of each tablet, rather than Wi-Fi models. This is supposed to follow in the coming days.

The Android 13 update version numbers on the Galaxy Tab S8 are as follows.

  • Tab S8: X706BXXU2BVK4
  • Tab S8+: X806BXXU2BVK4
  • Tab S8 Ultra: X906BXXU2BVK4

The update on the Tab S8 devices also brings the November 2022 security patch.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also working on an update to the rugged XCover 6 Pro, although that arrives without the latest security patch. The update has build number G736BXXU1BVK2 and is currently available in Europe.

Samsung has updated many other devices to Android 13 so far, including the latest Galaxy S, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, and more. Stay connected to our constantly updated tracker for more information.
