Fitness trackers come in a range of shapes, sizes, and functions, and the Mi Band series has become one of the most popular annual releases. It will likely remain as popular as ever as Xiaomi teased the design of the Mi Band 7 along with announcing the Chinese launch date.
Xiaomi Mi Band 7 does not stray too far from the tried and tested design that has become a staple of the series. In a post on Chinese networking site Weibo (via Android Authority), we took a fairly good look at a few upcoming colorful bands and some watch faces that will adorn this $100 wearable.
As one of the very few Xiaomi products that are often available worldwide – including the US. Often priced under $50, the Mi Band series is loved almost universally thanks to its combination of slim bracelet design, excellent battery life, and simple fitness trackers. This small color display provides quick access to step count, heart rate, local weather conditions, notification readings and other data points in a concise manner.
Xiaomi doesn’t need to reinvent or modify what is already the winning design of the Mi Band 7, but it looks like we might see a marginal increase in the 1.62-inch AMOLED display this time around. It remains to be seen if we will see other features to take advantage of the slightly increased screen size.
While the design of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 isn’t a huge shocker, you might be surprised to hear that the new wearable is slated to launch in China on May 24, 2022. For those hoping to upgrade an older wearable, the wait will be short.
