Xiaomi 12 Ultra shows the repair of the Leica camera

A series of Xiaomi 12 Ultra Renders has given us a glimpse of the upcoming super flagship looking to overhaul the camera system once again.

A series of 3D images by Steve Hemmerstoffer aka Tweet embed And it was published via Zoutons that it shows a completely different camera system for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra compared to its predecessor Mi 11 Ultra from 2021. The previous device was undoubtedly the biggest and best in the Xiaomi 2021 lineup, so the 12 Ultra is likely to offer some notable improvements.

This leak indicates that the device will come with a 6.6-inch QHD+ AMOLED curved panel featuring a central punch-hole and 120Hz refresh rate with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The flat side edges on the top and bottom of the chassis appear to be home to stereo speakers and possibly a speaker Infrared, but there is no place for a 3.5mm headphone port.

The internals will likely follow the previous flagship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor likely to be paired with 12GB of RAM and at least 256GB of internal storage. However, the specifications provided do not mention either case. The dimensions of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra are said to be around 161.9 x 74.3 x 9.5mm (13.1mm including the rear camera protrusion) while it weighs in at a rather small 234g.

On the back, renderings reveal that the massive node on the Mi 11 Ultra appears to be replaced by a circular matrix complete with the previously announced Leica branding. There will be a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP periscope zoom lens. However, the application processes are not quite as complete as Explains OnLeaks He “was not able to clearly identify every camera lens and sensor” in all eight incisors.

Besides the offers, OnLeaks also expects the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to be available with a starting price of around $1350 and release sometime in July. That’s not too long to wait to see what Xiaomi has in store.
