Valve has announced that it is launching Steam Deck in more countries, and the device will now also be available in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The device will be available in these countries later this year and Valve is releasing the device via Komodo, more details below.
We have worked with the team at Komodo for years, and are pleased to have their assistance as an authorized Steam Deck distributor in these areas. Komodo just opened reservations on its website here at steamdeck.komodo.jp. Customers with reservations in these new regions will be able to pre-order Steam Decks starting later this year. The Komodo booking queue is separate from the NA/UK/EU booking queue, so the timing of order emails in current shipping areas is not affected by this announcement.
We are very excited to make Steam Deck available in more places around the world, and we hope that players in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong will love Steam Deck as much as we do. To help introduce players to the Steam Deck before it’s available in these regions, we’re working with Komodo to assemble a large booth at the Tokyo Game Show, which will include a large hands-on section. Please stop by if you’re in town during TGS, we’d love to see you.
