Earlier today, camera equipment maker Telesin announced the launch of its new lightweight, motorized tabletop camera for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It is called Telesin Intelligent Remote Control Photography Car (Opens in a new tab) (Yes, it’s a wordless one), the product holds a good niche in the market and seems like an excellent addition to any creator’s camera kit.
At just $165.99, it’s very affordable. The ability to create seamless footage without having to spend big bucks on a slider is great for budget-conscious content creators.
Telesin Photography Car has a payload capacity of 3 kg (6.6 lbs). It should easily handle most mirrorless cameras and DSLRs that are not used with a telephoto lens. The motorized Telesin doll will allow creators to shoot straight and curved line shots using five different user-controlled speeds. It is also capable of time-lapse photography and video.
The new 3-wheel motorized stroller is a great little alternative to having to build a sliding rail system. Telesin’s new automated cart saves time, giving content creators the opportunity to work in tight spaces. It also lends itself to more flexibility on different surfaces. From the pictures, it looks like it will work just fine with all the cameras on our Best Cameras page for sure.
On the doll you will find 3/8″ and 1/4″ screw holes, three direction wheels, a steering button, a gear button, and indicator lights. There’s also a built-in battery that can be charged using the USB-C port next to the power switch, and it’s rated for five hours of use.
Five speeds, or gears, provide a speed range of 1.4 inches to 2.75 inches per second. The Telesin motorized camera comes with a wireless remote control, allowing you to control the camera from a distance. Thanks to the remote control and presets, you’ll be able to shoot some excellent and smooth 360-degree videos and photos at a steady rate. The robotic dummy does not come with a hub, so be sure to consider the weight when installing. With a capacity of 3 kg / 6 lbs, a lightweight hub is best, and be sure to choose an appropriate lens as well as not overload or potentially tip over the Dolly.
The Telesin Photography car is now available for pre-order for only $165.99, which is a very reasonable price; It will save you money compared to a motorized sliding system.
