How do I turn off location tracking completely?
If you want to turn off location tracking on your iPhone completely, this can be done from the settings menu on your mobile phone.
What you need to do is open a file Settings app on your iPhone, then scroll down to Privacythen select Site services You will then see a toggle next to Location Services. This is on and green by default, pass a file Toggle leftLocation services will be stopped.
Location services on your iPhone are now turned off, except for using the Find My app on your device. If you use this app, your location services will be restored temporarily, and this will also be the case if you have enabled Lost Mode on your iPhone.
How to turn off location services for individual apps
If you want to choose which of your apps can use your locations instead of turning the feature off completely, this can be done for each individual app. This is probably the better option between the two for you to choose, as it will only affect this app and not all the location services on your device.
To do this on your iPhone, go to Settings and then Privacyselect now Site servicesand scroll down where all the apps are listed.
Select the app you want and then choose one of the available options, you can choose from Never and your location will never be used with this app.
Another option is Ask next time or when I shareThis will prompt you the next time the app wants to use your location. You can also choose While using the app or Always As options to share your location in the app.
These are the main options available to turn off location tracking on the iPhone, personally, I usually turn this feature off for individual apps. The majority of apps don’t really need your location, only certain apps need this information.
Turning off the feature for individual apps gives you more control over your privacy and then apps that need this feature can still access it.
