Sajith Sivanandan, Managing Director and Head of Business at Google Pay, is ready to join the role of Executive Vice President and President of Disney+ Hotstar India. In a report, the president of Disney Star revealed that Sajith Sivanandan will soon join Disney+ Hotstar India.
Sajith will join as Executive Vice President and President of Disney + Hotstar India. All business operations in India will be handled in relation to the OTT platform and its overall business operations. Sivanandan is currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Business for Google Pay and Next Billion User Initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.
He is supposed to chart a roadmap in terms of the growth of super platforms while also handling business operations around the world. He will work sharply to improve the value of OTT in the international market while also working with the Disney+ Hotstar team in the United States (US).
Disney + Hotstar currently leads in India among all OTT platforms and the main reason for it is the excellent Indian cricket tournament. The podium has acquired the rights to the cricket tournament for the past five years. Somehow, the rights to the same were transferred for the next five years to Viacom 18, backed by billionaire billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
Sajith Sivanandan has worked for more than 14 years with Google, replacing former Google CEO, Sunil Ryan, who is currently serving as Chief Business Officer at a machine learning company called “Moloco”. He started his career with Star TV in 1996, which is now a Disney brand. Sivanandan also used to work as the North Indian Market Manager for the popular music channel V.
