“Holy *beep*! Did you just win some bitcoin?” I exclaimed while playing one of the best crypto games you can play. A stunned passerby looked at me as if I had five heads – and rightly so. I was walking around the neighborhood like a crazy woman playing Pokémon Go-like on mobile. However, instead of capturing creatures in the wild, I was looking for cryptocurrencies.
And yes I am she did actually score some Bitcoin (and Ethereum) – for free.
A friend who is a crypto enthusiast put me into the Play for Profit (P2E) model, explaining that it is a growing trend in the gaming industry. P2E Games Are Blockchain Based Platforms That Pay You – Yes, You are – To play crypto-earnings games.
“Wait a minute, all I have to do is play games and get paid with crypto?” I asked suspiciously. My friend said, “Yes.” “It’s the next big thing.”
I’m the type of person who believes in my vision, so I decided to explore the world of P2E gaming for myself. “There must be a catch!” I believed. And there. On the plus side, P2E games are legit. There are a growing number of games that actually pay users to play. The downside is that many P2E games have a “you have to spend money to make money” feel. However, during my research, I was able to find some P2E gems that distribute cryptocurrency rewards daily while not requiring any upfront investment.
Best Crypto Game to Play to Earn: Coin Hunt World
The best game to play for profit is, without a doubt, Coin Hunt World (CHW), the mobile application platform I was alluding to initially. As mentioned, Pokemon Go reminds us, but instead of collecting Charmanders and Squirtles, you’re looking for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (Ethereum).
CHW is a geolocation game that features a cool blue cube shaped man who represents you on a digital map. When you move in real life, the blue guy moves too. When I played CHW, there were blue switches scattered across a digital map representing my region.
This is not a game that you can play sitting at home; I had to get out and pick up all the keys floating on the map. I ended up walking to the nearby 7-11, my favorite Greek spot, the empanada restaurant, and a few other familiar places to collect the blue keys. After sending the collected keys to the vault, I was asked to answer the test question (the encryption won’t hand you over who – which Easily!). I answered correctly, and in return, I earned some BTC and ETH – yes, for Free!
After trying the CHWs for half an hour, I earned 60 cents in bitcoin and 40 cents in yttrium. However, keep in mind that this was my first time using the app; I was still learning to get used to the CHWs. With a little dedication and experience, I would have made a few bucks before gassing all of the walk. according to redditMost CHW players earn around $20 a week – one Redditor claimed they earn $60 a week.
After collecting enough BTC and ETH, you can exchange it for fiat currency (or any other currency) by linking your Uphold account to CHW.
What makes Coin Hunt World the best crypto game to play in order to earn is that it does not distribute money – excuse me for my French – chitcoins to players. BTC and ETH are the big dogs of the cryptocurrency world, so I was surprised to see these two cryptocurrencies published as rewards. Secondly, this game is completely free to play, which is kind of an anomaly in the P2E space.
The downside is that you will need a file Many Time is in your hands to earn a great deal of crypto on CHW. Also, if you live in a barn, the keys will be much rarer..
I know what you’re thinking, “If you get paid in ETH and BTC, how does CHW make money?” Well, it isn’t. In fact, the game is currently loser money, according to CoinHuntWorldWiki. However, community health workers eventually plan to make a profit by relying on advertising. These ads will not resemble the annoying popups and videos that you see in most mobile apps. Instead, CHW wants to charge token teams for using the Coin Hunt World platform to educate users about their cryptocurrency. Queen Bees (Opens in a new tab), which is the most popular cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, is doing something similar. It motivates users to watch animated educational videos about their partners coins and pays them for it (I’ve earned about $20 so far doing this).
CHW is currently in early access mode and, as of this writing, is only available for Android users on Google Play. It is also worth noting that one of the founders of Coin Hunt World is the CEO of Bittrex, a popular crypto trading platform.
NFT games are the future
Remember when pokemon cards were all the rage? My classmates and I would buy $10 packs of Pokémon cards and get our fingers crossed that we’d get rare cards (high HP Pokémon) to envy and crush weaker Pokémons in card battles.
Trading card craze is about to make a volcanic comeback in the form of NFT games. During my research, I stumbled upon Axie Infinity, an NFT game heavily influenced by Pokemon. Its basic gameplay involves a team of three with creatures called Axies with different skills – and you can throw them into battle to take on other opponents.
However, I was immediately turned off when I realized that I had to buy three axes to play the game – which isn’t cheap if you want to be a worthy contender. I winced my wallet when I saw the price tags of the most brutal axe; Its cost is somewhere between $230 and $312,000 on the market. No thank you!
As of this writing, due to a bear market, Axie Infinity’s fortunes have taken a turn. Can you recover? Only time will prove it.
Best NFT Game: Blankos Block Party
There is one NFT game that I recommend; It’s called Blanco Block Party. It’s made by a team also working on Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Guitar Hero.
It’s a quirky, vibrant and eerie open world game that feels like you’re living inside a brightly colored pinball machine. As a bonus, I didn’t need to spend a dime to play the game.
You can tag, race against others, dance in parties, and more with 3D characters called “Blankos”, playable NFTs that can be earned in-game and traded in the markets.
This is a graphics intensive game, so you’ll want to take out gaming laptop (And a controller or gaming mouse while you’re at it). It wasn’t working smoothly on my Acer Swift 3). Mythical Games, the publisher behind Blankos Block Party, has signed deals with DJ deadmau5 and luxury brand Burberry To attract more players to its platform. axes and Kryptoponics She’s the talk of the town now, but I have a feeling Blanco might be next.
prospects
I don’t know how to feel about P2E and NFT coding games making a splash in the industry. I suppose it depends on how the “powers in place” plan to implement it. For example, Brave Browser uses a model in which it pays users in Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) to give advertisers their attention. As mentioned earlier, I also dig into the Coinbase model where users earn free crypto by watching educational videos and animations about advertiser tokens.
Coin Hunt World seems to have aspirations of following a similar P2E business model, which is why I chose it as the best game to play for profit. Our attention and data are valuable, so it’s great that more platforms are willing to pay for it for us.
However, I’ve always had an aversion to platforms that strongly support me to make in-game purchases because they are essential to excel and advance in the game. Many P2E games follow this formula, but I understand it’s a little different than the one where the game creators say, “Hey, we’re not the only ones making money – you’re too!” But keep in mind that there is also a chance lose money.
Whether you like cryptocurrency or not, it is not going anywhere, especially in the gaming world. In fact, NFTs fit into the gaming industry like a piece of puzzle. NFTs, by definition, are unique, blockchain-based digital holdings that scream “in-game purchases” to me. It was only a matter of time before the gaming industry took advantage of the NFT hype.
Editor’s Note: Since the cryptocurrency market influences the crypto games that are played to earn, this page is regularly updated to reflect which games are still worth playing.
