An Avatar mobile game is coming to Android and iOS in August

After selling its Western studios and most of its largest IP addresses, such as Tomb Raider and Deus Ex, Square Enix announced plans to invest in NFTs. The Japanese company is also trying to use big franchises like Nickelodeon Avatar. Square Enix London has announced a mobile game called Avatar Generations, a turn-based adventure set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe. The game will launch in select regions this month and will be a free-to-play model.

The official website says that players will “embark on a global mission to fulfill Aang’s destiny with all your favorite characters and comrades including Aang, Katara, Sokka and Momo in this tactical RPG!”

Aside from those details, we don’t know much at all at the moment. We know that Avatar Generations will offer team-based battles and unique adventure sequences. The game will include deep upgrade features and party customization for the heroes you will recruit during your adventures.

Square Enix has confirmed that the game will have an initial launch in Canada, Denmark, South Africa and Sweden for Android and iOS devices. Access to additional regions will be expanded in the following months if you’re interested. We should know more soon.
