With the launch of Intel Raptor Lake in the coming months, it appears that the full launch lineup for Team Blue’s next-generation processor series has leaked ahead of its announcement.
User with the name Extreme Player (Opens in a new tab) On Chinese social media site Bili Bili, he posted specs for 14 SKUs in total, covering Core i3 to Core i9 processors (first flagged by Wccftech). (Opens in a new tab)).
The core numbers show a 24-core i9 processor (eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores) with 32 threads, doubling the number of efficiency cores as the flagship Alder Lake i9-12900K. The rest of the specs are below, as posted on Bili Bili.
These specs were apparently not announced by Intel, so they should be taken into account, but the specs are in line with other rumors we’ve heard.
Analysis: Can Intel control some of its power?
One of the things about ARM’s big LITTLE architecture is that it’s supposed to be more energy efficient than traditional processor architecture.
That’s certainly the case with Apple’s silicon powering the best MacBooks and Macs, as well as the best phones and best tablets on the market with these types of processors.
However, this did not turn out to be the case with Intel Alder Lake, which uses a lot more power than other chips released in recent years, which is especially true of its mobile chips.
I’d be particularly interested to see if Intel can make its chips more energy conscious with this generation, but given some of the benchmark results we’ve seen recently, I think it’s likely to be its full strength in the future.
